If you're dealing with what you seem to be dealing with... breathe. You are NOT alone in this. Hold on. Hang on. Take it day by day, one sunrise at a time. It may feel like the pain, the thoughts, the memories will always be there, as strong and vivid as they are now. You may wonder, "How can I live like this for the rest of my life?" It probably feels like it will be this way forever.
It won't be.
I promise, it won't be.
I can't tell you how long it will take, or when things will age into something that makes you feel less in two places at once. But it will be better someday. The memories will never, really, leave you - and there may not ever be a day when you don't remember or feel the ghost of the worst of what you feel right now. But one day, the lows you feel will still be higher than the peaks you felt at the worst of times.
It will pass into something more manageable, even if it never "goes away."
It WILL get better.
I promise.
