First snow day in 6 years!
Backstory
Not because there hasn't been snow. But, in urban schools, we rarely close because the plows are so efficient.But I had to hope.
So this morning when the alarm went off, I crawled out of bed (please, please), looked out the window at so much snow the yard looks like a sledding hill (please, please), and logged onto the computer.
As usual, a long list of schools. Still, I was sure we wouldn't be on it. A-C I began to scroll (please, please), D-M (please please), O. P. Q. R. (please please please), S (pleasebehere)... and there was my school, on the list with bright red NO SCHOOL letters beside the name.
Whoo hooo!!! Snow day!!!

This reminded me of something I haven't thought of in years--rainy day schedule. When I was in elementary school, we'd get out early on rainydays.
