Wonderful memoir! I forgot about this, but I used to move the animals and the Wise men around at night. In the morning, my daughter would go look at it to see what had moved.
So true. We did this just this year. What side of the gate should we place Mary? Which way should the manger slant? Etc, etc. Lovely and certainly does bring back memories!!
My mother got a new piece of the nativity every year, and it was the greatest pre-holiday present. It did mean some rearranging every year, too, but I loved that. Thanks for stirring memories. Congrats on the MOTD!
What a really sweet husband! Love the cute little bears. The little white headpiece and diaper reminds me that my daughter used to make little clothes like that out of Kleenex for her play animals. I always bought the 3 ply kind. She'd make little armholes somehow. Good memories. Thanks for the memoir and the picture.
