I think society is constantly sending us subtle and not-so-subtle messages that many of our desires are weird/evil/somehow wrong. It's a compromise between being yourself and what society allows you to be. The question is- what are you prepared to compromise and at what price?
Nicely said, Sagacious. I agree... I have many goals I know I MUST pursure, but they are outside my current comfort zone... so I am fighting with myself to do what needs to be done. It's hard sometimes.
