That's a nice image, because my own father was very aloof and distant, and I've always wondered what kind of a father I might have been, had I chosen to become one. Alas, my alternative life style made that impossible. But thanks again.

Yes, I know from my own experience that sometimes a father can provide lessons in how not to parent. I knew, even as a child, that I would never do some of what he did. Sounds like you did too.
