Asperger's makes dad more like child.

Backstory

We discovered my dad had Asperger's Syndrome after a lifetime of being misunderstood by his teachers, parents, friends, and family. He is a very sweet soul, but, as it typical of Asperger's, he has encyclopedic knowledge about 2-3 topics and is a little absent regarding everyday life. I feel protective of him, instead of the other way around.

Thank you for sharing.
My teenager may have Aspergers, his therapist has recently said. We've been so frustrated in trying to make life work with him, it never occurred to us that he had that. I now think about how hard it must seem from his perspective.
