XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX says,

You, too? I always thought he called me boy because he really couldn't remember my name.

JAD says,

Have a nephew we call boy since he was very small. Something his sister started.

Sagacious says,

Couldn't help thinking his refusal to use my name was a way of creating emotional distance. Here I go again, psychoanalysing everything!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX says,

that sounds like sound psychoanalysing.

Sagacious says,

I love it when I see Dads show appropriate affection to their sons. You can just TELL they are on the road to forming a close and loving relationship that will see them through tough times. DELTA, it's just a shame our Dads didn't feel comfortable showing that sort of affection to us.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX says,

Fear...guilt...peer pressure, or just plain old lack of feeling. Men should be given aptitude tests before becoming dads.

MrsPremise says,

Well, I have big hopes for the next round of fathers, don't all of you??

Sagacious says,

I see some positive signs out there among the young guys in the way they are relating to their children. The way I see it, womens' liberation is a synonym of mens' liberation.
