"Pretend you're Cliff Young", I said.

Backstory

The brain tumour affected my Dad in terrible ways- one of which was in his ability to move with any reasonable degree of speed or fluency. I needed to drive him to Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital to have his regular radiotherapy session and finding a way of getting him to the car was going to be difficult. I grabbed hold of him and told him to pretend he is Cliff Young- the famous Australian ultra-marathon runner. Young was famous for his "shuffling" running technique. Cliffy was a big help that day!
