Gabi138 says,

When Mom's say they're proud, kids don't really care, because they know she'll say that no matter what. But a Dad's praise always seems harder to earn. I hope he reads this.

Sagacious says,

I was only just recently informed that my father used to take my school reports, laden with A+'s, to work to brag about how well his son was performing academically. Never ONCE did he tell me he was proud of my achievements, and earning his approval was the biggest thing in that young boy's life. I hope your Dad IS proud of you, EdgarG6, it's just that some Dads have serious trouble expressing it.

Bevvie says,

Here's knowing that he will say it!

MrsPremise says,

Seems like such a simple thing to do, doesn't it? And so monumental in a child's life.

Scout11 says,

Even though it doesn't seem like it at the time, or it hasent for a LONG time, im sure your dad really is proud of you. maybe he's just not good at showing it...?

rileyrhino21 says,

I feel that way so much with mine, too. But, know that your dad IS proud of you! I've noticed that dads are usually pretty awful at communicating this, but that doesn't mean that he isn't proud of you. I hope he sees this, and can work on his communication. :)
