Sun Flower seeds for Bevvie, Daddy

Backstory

This is my dad's six-word memoir, a note he wrote on an envelope containing sunflower seeds from one of the sunflowers in his garden. I planted them this spring. The first one is over six or seven feet tall. I hope to continue planting seeds from my sunflower in honor of my dad, who passed away on July 13, 2011. He did not get a chance to see my sunflower bloom. But I have the seeds and the memoir on an envelope.

BEAUTIFUL Bevvie, I have goosebumps after reading the backstory.

Thanks, B.

Oh Bevvie... I love your dad too. Bless him.

Thanks, Amapola. Send him some of your Amapola hugs. I know they go to heaven.

Bevvie, this beautiful memoir and the beautiful backstory remind me of PLEASE PLANT THIS BOOK by Richard Brautigan. Brautigan's BOOK was a collection of eight poems printed on the backs of packets of seeds, one poem per packet. Your father's envelope of sunflower seeds with his Six-Word Memoir written on it could be called "Please Plant This Memoir."

Bevvie says,

Thanks, tonyglim. I will have to search for this book and share it with my sisters and brother. And I love Please Plant This Memoir. Today was rough for me, so your thoughtful comment comes at a good time. Thank you. I am so glad that I kept that envelope.
