Sun Flower seeds for Bevvie, Daddy
Backstory
This is my dad's six-word memoir, a note he wrote on an envelope containing sunflower seeds from one of the sunflowers in his garden. I planted them this spring. The first one is over six or seven feet tall. I hope to continue planting seeds from my sunflower in honor of my dad, who passed away on July 13, 2011. Bevvie, this beautiful memoir and the beautiful backstory remind me of PLEASE PLANT THIS BOOK by Richard Brautigan. Brautigan's BOOK was a collection of eight poems printed on the backs of packets of seeds, one poem per packet. Your father's envelope of sunflower seeds with his Six-Word Memoir written on it could be called "Please Plant This Memoir."Bevvie says,
