About me

If you were to throw up your hands in exasperation and yell "it's the story of my life," what would you be talking about?
Moved to SF at 23 with no money...tried to make it as an actress...moved back to Chicago at 29, tried more acting stuff (started at Second City right when Tina Fey left!)...acting failed, business ownership succeeded, met my true love at 31, got married, we looked for our dream house, found it & were made homeless when, 5 days before closing, we discovered the house was built illegally. Homeless for 6 weeks, crashed with friends, bought the first pretty condo that we could find, and moved into a real estate nightmare complete with rats, roaches, dead birds (in the fireplace, no less), and a leaky roof. Wrote a book about it that no publisher wants -- I'm at 20 rejections and counting. And still a successful business owner. And still in love. I married the best man in the world, the amazing artist who owns swallowstudios.
