There could never be just one: Harry Potter series, Redwall series, Aesop's Fables, Nine Stories, Grimm's Fairy Tales, The Princess Bride, The Great Gatsby, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Tove Jansson's Moomin books, etc.
