If you were to throw up your hands in exasperation and yell "it's the story of my life," what would you be talking about?
Can never get my shirts of a coat-hanger without them getting snagged, darn it!
Besides SMITH, I read stories at:
Not at, but in: the old-fashioned medium called "books".
In bed I like to read:
Duh, books. Literature (a lot of old dead women, mixed with a few old dead guys), cosmology, history, some (a little) contemporary fiction, and once in a while I'll throw in a Star Trek novel or Isaac Asimov or Arthur C Clarke.
My favorite story of all time is:
The Silmarillon, by J.R.Tolkien. It's the pre-history of Middle Earth. Unbelievable language and breadth of narrative. "Then he picked up Grond, the Hammer of the Underworld and smote the earth, rending deep pits whence smoke and fire darted." And so on.
Right now, I'm reading:
"The Eustace Diamonds" by Anthony Trollope
