About me

Besides SMITH, I read stories at:
Open Salon, Salon

In bed I like to read:
The New Yorker

My favorite story of all time is:
Have to think about that one...Loved A Thousand Splendid Suns

If you were to throw up your hands in exasperation and yell "it's the story of my life," what would you be talking about?
I've got two life stories -- both about overcoming adversity and doing what it takes to survive and thrive. I recently published HIPPIE BOY: A Girl's Story, my coming-of-age story about a feisty teenage girl who escapes her abusive Mormon stepfather and the suffocating religious lifestyle at home by joining her dad on the road as a tool-selling vagabond -- until his arrest forces her to take charge of her life. Hippie Boy is available in eBook and Paperback on Amazon and BN.com

My second story focuses on my journey with RP, a devastating eye disease that leads to blindness. That story is still unfolding.

Right now, I'm reading:
The Help
