About me

If you were to throw up your hands in exasperation and yell "it's the story of my life," what would you be talking about?
So many topics...the most benign is my tendency to believe people literally mean what they say.

Besides SMITH, I read stories at:
The New Yorker, Guideposts, the New York Times, friends' blogs.

In bed I like to read:
Books - preferably a paperback as big volumes can be so unwieldy to hold sidways while reclining.

My favorite story of all time is:
Epaminondas. My grandmother used to tell it to me, and I thought she made it up. Later, after she had forgotten it, I found it in print.

Right now, I'm reading:
"Addiction and Grace" by Gerald May.
