Peggy Fleming Thought I Was Cute!

We got there early, so we were right up front.

My dad just told me this story while I visited with him on Thanksgiving: In 1966, when I was three years old, we lived in Aspen, Colorado. My parents took me to see an ice-skating demonstration, starring Peggy Fleming. We got there early, so we were right up front.

At some point, she stopped by my parents to talk and said, "What a cute little girl!" She asked if I liked to skate (yes), and then picked me up and skated around the rink with me in her arms.
