He winked and mouthed the words, 'Good job!'
I was a member of the college choir, and it was required of us to perform at certain fundraising events. This was a doozy. Governor Ronald Reagan was speaking, and there were Hollywood royalty in the audience along with other venerable Republicans. I, being a child of the 'Sixties as well as the child and sister of conscientious objectors, and this being the Viet Nam era, was to say the least uncomfortable with singing a medly of patriotic songs for the crowd. But after our stirring performance, as we debarked the choral risers and returned to our seats, a man caught my eye and mouthed the words, "Good job!" and winked at me. It was Frank Sinatra.
