This takes me back to my college days. (I'm surprised I can remember back that far.) In one of our journalism classes, we were told that we had to get an interview with a famous person.
I was working my second food service job as a busboy in the Omaha Press Club when singer-actress Julie Wilson came in for lunch one day. Though or last names were the only thing we had in common, she graciously granted me a little time for an interview. It was a great help to me and the first of many blessings I've had in my writing career.
I have had one book published and have just completed my second. But Julie Wilson will always occupy a special place in muy thoughts. I've met or talked to many famous people since then but she and Howard Keel (who was a by mail acquaintance to me) were the most gracious I encountered.
