“One Year, Telling Stories, Let’s Party”
Wednesday, January 17th, 2007
That’s today’s six-word memoir.
We’re celebrating our one-year anniversary with a little throwdown tonight at Sutra Lounge, one of New York City’s most perfect bars, owned by our friend Ariel Palitz. If you’re in town, join us from 7:30pm on. We’ll have drink specials, six-word memoirs, DJs, storytellers, and a little something special for your lips.

I must say, I didnt get a chance to make it to this particular event. But after hearing about Sutra through Smith Mag, I went by with a few of my boys one weekend. Needless to say I got the most phone numbers. I didnt spend a lot of money and the music flowed nicely. At one point they opened the downstairs floor and the party down there was even better than upstairs. I was pleasantly surprised by the crazy sexy and cool lounge.
Why is it “needless to say” that you got the most phone numbers? Should we have already known that you are, in fact, the king of all kings when it comes to scoring digits? Did your friends even know your main goal was to collect numbers, or were they simply there to enjoy themselves?
And what do you do with these numbers now that you have them? Will you actually put them to use, or will they be framed and hung on the wall as some sort of trophy that signifies your sutra sexual prowess?
