“Run faster, fret less, kiss more” — Six-Word Resolution Winners

January 15th, 2007 by Larry Smith

1986879_9a37ad1cef.jpgThat’s Mary Elizabeth Williams’ admirable six-word resolution, one of thousands that you sent in for our first annual Six-Word Resolution Contest, co-sponsored by our pals at The Huffington Post. You’re a resolute bunch, looking to worry less, kiss more (including one reader who plans to “Kiss Jon Stewart on the mouth”), trim facial hair, and change your underwear. So you can see why it wasn’t easy to narrow our favorites down to 10, which is why we took it to 11. Below are a handful of six-word resolutions we love. If you’re a winner who has already broken yours by now, don’t fret: you still get a fantastic HuffPost tee.

Run faster, fret less, kiss more (Mary Elizabeth Williams)

Lose my Religion, find my faith (Jess D’Amico)

Stop whining. Keep Walking. Eat Chocolate (Rebecca Drooks)

Eat right, vote left, stay centered (Dave Zee)

Change the World, or my underwear (Scott Weaver)

I will make all new mistakes (Wesley Stewart)

Quit thorny underbrush. Clear sweet path (Lisa Carl)

Less Things, More Gratitude, Goodbye Mustache (Mr. Fancipants)

We came, we saw, we failed (GeorgeWGump)

Maybe I’ll try Buddhism. Why not? (jbrown)

Kiss Jon Stewart on the mouth (Martha Garvey)
