I don’t want to get a rep for being the deathwatch guy around here, but another great storyteller has closed his book and said goodnight.
Robert Anton Wilson, author of this and this and this and this (!) and this and this and this and much, much, more, is gone.
Tug his beard and say farewell.
The Times had a lovely obit about Wilson here, delighting in Wilson’s belief that anything is possible, including (or is it especially?) flying lasagna. “I don’t see how to take death seriously,” he wrote on his last post on his blog. “I look forward without dogmatic optimism, but without dread. I love you all and I deeply implore you to keep the lasagna flying.”
